THE FIRST SCHOOL BUS CONVERSION

Big Judy is our maiden voyage bus conversion here at Paved To Pines, the big 'baby' bus that started it all. A 40 foot 1991 International Bluebird skoolie with a whole lotta character and a tonne of sass, sleeping spots and memories.
Judy the skoolie is outfitted with a bunch of electrical gadgets, a nice battery bank, fridge/freezer, stove, full bath, and comfortably seats 8. We went with a custom "Emerald Ice" colour, modelled after the popular VW colour pallet. This conversion is powered by a 7.3L Diesel engine and outfitted with exterior belly storage for 4-season living.
This bus conversion had one goal in mind... make it feel like a rustic cabin! Featuring painted, pine tongue-and-groove on the walls, contrasting laminate flooring, edison lighting, and a barnboard feature wall. All of these patterns and styles come together to create a cozy space you just wanna curl up and cuddle in.
You will notice the custom cushions, galley style design, and of course.... Elfie the pup! All of the cushions for each skoolie and van conversion are made in house to your desires and needs.

Rustic flair
The kitchen features full amenities with this propane stove/burner, a three way dometic fridge, microwave, and double, under-mounted sink.
Propane runs to the fridge, stove, and forced air furnace to keep you warm no matter what mother nature throws at you.
Above the stove is a custom microwave cupboard, spice rack, and bookshelf.
On the right side of the image (we can't find more pictures) are the double bunks, custom wine barrel shower setup, bathroom, and the master bedroom which features surround cupboard and a queen bed.
COOKING & KITCHEN AMMENITIES
Full time living
The bus features custom cabinetry with inset wainscoting. With all of the lower and over head cabinets, there is loads of storage space for longterm living or expansive trips.
The double sink was a must to make dishwashing easy in the bus conversion.
The highlight of the kitchen - if not the custom cabinets - is the full subway tile backsplash with dark contrasting grout.
